Conditions conspired against up today, by almost literally raining on our parade. We managed to walk on a fairly recent lava flow, but the current activity was on a hillside, and couldn’t be seen due to torrential rain. We had to give up and turn back. Still, the hardened pillow lava was beautiful, and we did get to walk through a lava tube. Off to see some waterfalls tomorrow, but more rain is forecast.
